In London, on Thursday evening, 28 February 2019, a Gala Dinner was held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the humanitarian organization Lifeline United Kingdom, sponsored by Crown Princess Katherine. The funds collected from numerous guests are intended for equipping children’s hospitals in Serbia.

Over 200 guests from the diaspora and prominent London citizens attended the formal dinner. The honorary guest was the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to London, H.E. Mrs. Aleksandra Joksimovic, and the main guest was the Minister of Health in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Mr. Zlatibor Lončar.

In his address, Minister Lončar underlined the importance of the assistance provided to the healthcare system of the Republic of Serbia for 25 years by Princess Katherine and expressed his gratitude for the inexhaustible energy of Crown Princess Katherine and her husband, Crown Prince Alexander.

“In the most difficult times for Serbia, our healthcare system had managed to maintain its integrity and ability to provide help for all our people. Today, Serbian healthcare system is able to respond to all current challenges and demands and to provide our citizens with high quality services.

In all this, the help of prominent humanitarians is very important to us, and among them Crown Princess Katherine has a special place”, said Minister Lončar, among other things, addressing the audience.
