Printer Friendly Version VISIT TO COVENTRY BY THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE EMBASSY OF RS IN LONDON @ 16 May 2019 03:37 PM

On May 10, 2019, representatives of the Embassy of RS visited Coventry, where they met with Lord Mayor, Councillor John Blundell, Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Linda Bigham, representatives of the City Council, as well as with representatives of the local community in charge of culture and economics. On that occasion, they visited the Belgrade Theater, where they met with the Artistic Director and Chief Executive, Hamish Glen, as well as the Herbert Museum, which has inherited an art collection and historical heritage of this city. Coventry and Belgrade have been twin cities since 1957, and close relations between these two cities have been preserved to this day.
In a conversation with the Mayor and members of the City Council, Ambassador Joksimović pointed to the importance of the fact that Belgrade and Coventry have been nourishing close relations lasting for decades and expressed interest in deepening the partnership between these two cities and identifying areas in which concrete cooperation can be established. Mrs. Slavica Stojsavljević, manager at the Cultural Center of Coventry, who unselfishly provided her assistance and support in organizing the visit of representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, talked about possibilities for deepening cultural cooperation.
