Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to London Aleksandra Joksimović participated in a gathering dedicated to the UK’s bilateral economic cooperation with Eurasian countries, organized by the Conservative Group of Eurasia Friends at the UK House of Commons on 14 January 2020. In addition to Lord Lilley, the sponsor of the event, the British side was attended by Minister of State for International Trade C. Burns, as well as members of the Conservative Friends of Eurasia B. Blackman, P. Scully, H. Grant and Sh. Bailey, as well as the Chairman of PGP with Serbia A. Bridgen. In addition to Ambassador Joksimovic, Ambassadors of Israel M. Regev, Georgia T. Beruchashvili, Kyrgyzstan E. Baisalov, Moldova A. Ponomariov, Uzbekistan S. Rustamov, as well as representatives of the embassies of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan spoke about the potential of the development of bilateral economic relations with the UK. The participants of the meeting sent a positive message on mutual readiness to strengthen friendly relations and to continue the development of economic cooperation after the Brexit.
Following the discussion, a promotion of the products of the countries participating in the event was organized, at which the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia presented the tourism potential of Serbia, as well as local wines and cured meats available at specialist markets in London.
