The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Ireland on a non-residential basis was on a two-day working visit to Dublin. On this occasion, the Ambassador had a meeting with the Director of the Directorate for Enlargement (EU) and Western Balkans of the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs, P. Kelly, where the improvement of bilateral cooperation was discussed, as well as Irish support for Serbia on its way to integration into the European Union.

Ambassador Joksimović also met with representatives of the Joint Committee for EU Affairs of the Parliament of Ireland. She introduced her interlocutors with Serbia’s efforts in the process of European integration, the perspective of which was discussed in detail.

As part of her working visit in Dublin, Ambassador Joksimović participated in a high-level conference for the adoption of the Political Declaration on strengthening the protection of civilians from the humanitarian consequences of the use of explosive weapons in populated areas. Serbia is one of around 70 countries that supported the aforementioned Declaration.
