Serbian Ambassador in London Aleksandra Joksimovic hosted Minister of Science, Technologic Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia Dr Jelena Begovic and members of the delegation during their study visit to the United Kingdom from 21 to 25 January 2023. The meeting in Serbian Embassy in London was also attended by Serbian scientists engaged at the Oxford University and in British companies. In conversation with minister Begovic, they discussed the model of cooperation between state institutions, academia and business in the field of R&D and use of the new technologies in the UK. In return, Minister Begovic talked about the new strategic approach Serbian Government is endorsing with regards to R&D, especially in the fields of biomedicine and biotech. In that sense, she announced the establishment of the BIO 4 Campus in Belgrade. Minister Begovic expressed clear readiness for further deepening and enhancing bilateral cooperation between Serbia and the UK in the field of science, technological development and innovation, to which this visit will largely contribute. She emphasized the importance of the good cooperation with Imperial College in London and especially its role in establishing the BIO 4 Campus in Belgrade.
