Embassy of the Republic of Serbia will be closed on Monday and on Tuesday, 2 and 3 January 2017, for New Year Holidays.


INVITATION TO TENDER FOR THE PROVISION OF REAL ESTATE SALES SERVICES – THE SALE OF DIPLOMATIC REAL ESTATE IN NEW YORK (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA), TOKYO (JAPAN), BONN (GERMANY), AND BERNE (SWITZERLAND)

Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Macedonia, the Republic of Slovenia, and the Republic of Serbia – as the sole Successor States to the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (hereinafter “the SFRY”) – and the co-owners of diplomatic and consular property of the SFRY, as the previous title owner, hereby issue an invitation to tender for the provision of the service of brokering the sale of the following immovable property (The information on property in this invitation to tender are only indicative. The Successor States accept no responsibility for their accuracy. Precise information may be obtained by consulting public databases of the countries where the immovable property is located. AN EVENING WITH ‘STRAWBERRY ENERGY’ COMPANY

On Friday, 6 November 2015, Serbian City Club hosted an evening with Milos Milisavljevic, a founder of “Strawberry Energy” company which made a successful breakthrough in the British market over a relatively short period of time. In his opening remarks, Ambassador Pribicevic speaking to a considerable number of Serbian Diaspora in the UK emphasized that such a remarkable success of the Serbian company in the UK market should not only serve as an encouragement to other talented people in Serbia to persevere with their ideas but also as a reference in his and Embassy’s efforts to acquaint British investors with the potentials of Serbian market.


Tim Marshall, journalist and political commentator launches his book “Prisoners of Geography”

On 14 October 2015, Tim Marshall, a journalist and political commentator and until recently a diplomatic editor for Sky News, launched his latest book in the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia. Using a video presentation, Mr. Marshall put forward his views on geo-political developments and pointed to immigration processes as one of the major factors as Britain decides whether to leave or stay in the EU. Ambassador Pribicevic, acting as a moderator, emphasized Mr. Marshall’s specific angle of perception placing geographic advantages and limitations center-stage adding that in the future climate will also be of major importance in decision-making processes, to a much larger extent than now.

Unveiling a memorial plaque dedicated to British doctor Helen Boyle

Ambassador Ognjen Pribicevic and Mayor of Brighton and Hove Councillor Lynda Hyde on 7 September unveiled a memorial plaque for Dr Helen Boyle, a British doctor who was decorated by the order of St Sava for her contribution to the Serbian war effort in the First World War. The event was attended by members of the British Commemoration Organization, tourist organizations, historians and family members.

LSE and Embassy of Serbia : Partnership for Youth in UK

Forum "OSSA: Facilitating links and cooperation between students, Alumni, successful professionals and the diaspora for personal and home country development", was held on 8 June 2015 at the London School of Economics within the project “Partnership for Youth in UK”. In addition to Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in London, dr Ognjen Pribicevic who opened the forum, the participants included prominent members of Serbian diaspora in the United Kingdom from academic and business communities as well as representatives of the Organization of Serbian Students Abroad (OSSA) who developed with this project.

Screening of “Serbia in the Great War” in the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in London

On 2 June 2015, the Embassy of the Republic of  Serbia in London presented a documentary entitled “Serbia in the Great War”. In his introductory statement, Ambassador Ognjen Pribicevic expressed his pleasure that the first screening of this film outside Serbia took place in London. After the screening, the author of the film Sladjana Zaric, director Ivana Stivens and historian Milos Kovic, Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Belgrade University spoke about the making of the film.


Serbian Start-up “Strawberry Energy” to install its solar technology in London

Following a three-month “Cognicity Challenge” competition organized by Canary Wharf company in London, “Strawberry Energy” was awarded a pilot project and invited to implement its technology in Canary Wharf, London’s business area. In addition to this success, at a ceremony to announce the winners held on 14 May, “Strawberry Energy” start-up received the so-called “Cool Prize” for the most interesting start-up in the competition.

BOOK LAUNCH ‘CHRISTIAN HERITAGE OF KOSOVO AND METOHIJA’ ON KING’S COLLEGE IN LONDON

On 10 May 2015, King’s College in London organized a book launch to promote an English edition of a book entitled “Christian Heritage of Kosovo and Metohija” which contains 900 color reproductions, depicting prominent personalities, monasteries, churches, frescoes and icons. The book’s publisher is Western American Diocese along with the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Institute for Balkan Studies and Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Belgrade, as co-publishers. It is a telling testimony to the centuries-old efforts of the Serbian Orthodox Church to build and preserve Christian heritage in Kosovo and Metohija.
